Bodywork Training

Adding a Bodywork focus to your practice.

5 weekend course

This course offers a unique opportunity to combine aspects of two streams in counselling: those that are language based and those that focus directly upon the body with the collaboration and combination of skills of two therapists from each of these different traditions. While in the past most of social science cannot be said to be body oriented in any real sense, there is a strong past tradition of working directly with the body as an essential expression of the person in counselling.

The new emphasis arising out of recent neuroscience and trauma research has opened both the recognition and re-finding of the emotions, attachment, and the body for practitioners to add to their current practice. These five weekends provide the opportunity to explore your potential for working directly with body process, using appropriate interventions ranging from therapeutic touch through to energetic focus and somatic awareness as part of your counselling work with individuals and couples.

  • Facilitators for the course : Doug Sotheren & Lisa Frese

  • Location: Central Coast, NSW

  • Next Course: 2019 (dates TBC)

  • Cost: past courses – $1,850 (early bird discount)

  • Contact: Lisa Frese on 0424 566 692
