Applications
All applications must be
submitted together with references and a deposit of $300.00 in
order to be processed and a place in the training program
reserved. All applicants will be contacted and an interview
organised. Enrolments officially close on the 12th March,
2010. However, early applications are advised as class numbers
are limited to 12.
Upon acceptance into the training
program students will be required to pay a further $400 and
sign a study contract in order to secure their place in the
course. Deposits will be held by TGI until the conclusion of
the interview, if the application for enrolment is
unsuccessful, the deposit will be refunded in
full.
During the interview applicants are required to
demonstrate the presence of some fundamental capacities as a
pre-requisite for commencing training as a Gestalt
therapist.
Some of those qualities
being:
• a capacity for developing
self-awareness and self-reflection • a capacity to relate
to others in a facilitative way from a stance of respect and
mutual interest • a capacity to reflect on and examine the
impact of their actions on others • a capacity to be aware
and report the impact of others on them • a capacity for
curiosity and inquiry • a capacity to take responsibility
for physical and emotional well-being • a capacity to cope
with the various demands of the course including the
fulfillment of financial obligations, the timely completion of
learning tasks and active participation in the course • a
capacity to understand and practice ethical behaviour as
outlined in the code of ethics • a capacity to learn from
life experiences • a capacity to receive feedback on
strengths and constraints by peers and
trainers

Apply
While Gestalt Training is recommended to
those in the helping professions and the behavioural life
sciences, applications are invited by those with relative life
experiences and those committed to self-awareness/personal
development. T.G.I practices a non-discriminatory selection of

not directly interfere with the competent fulfillment of
training and practice.
Students Who Live Away
Terrigal Gestalt Institute has developed our student
programs so that students who do not live locally can access
our training. All training activities are structured over
weekends and where possible distance students are given
priority for student Support Sessions. Library resources are
available by post, upon request. Primary Trainers also retain
regular e-mail and phone contact with students who live away,
to meet their training
needs. |
