Welcome to our website. Here you’ll find information about the history and practice of Gestalt Therapy and the courses we offer. Our Institute is located on the Central Coast of New South Wales and our facilities provide a comfortable, peaceful place for interacting and sharing while you learn. We also have a TGI Campus in Coffs Harbour operating from the INTERRELATE rooms in Park Ave.
Terrigal Gestalt Institute was founded in 2005 and is a training and educational organisation providing training programs in Gestalt Counselling and Psychotherapy, Personal and Professional Development, free Counselling for the public in our Student Counselling Clinic, low cost counselling and therapy in our Graduate Clinic, Clinical Supervision and mentoring, and premises for Clinical Practitioners.

Diploma of Counselling – (2 Yrs)

For those who want to become Counsellors and Pscyhotherapists. Once students have graduated from TGI with the Dip. Couns. there are opportunities to continue on to several Masters Programs with our educational partners. If you are interested in these pathways of study please enquire at your Interview for entry to the course.

NOTE: Certificate course is the required Introduction course for the Diploma course
Advanced Certificate of Gestalt Therapy – (8 weekends)
- This program is recommended as a Professional Development year for Graduates of the Diploma course to increase their knowledge and practice base, and eligiblity for Provisional membership on the ARCAP National Register.
- Students who want to progress to the ‘Masters of Gestalt Therapy’ will need to complete this year to enter the Graduate Masters Program.
- This program is also provided as a Professional Development Program to Counsellors and Psychotherapists trained in other modalities and who have completed the TGI PD Certificate course. If unsure re eligibility please contact Dinah on 0439 752 710.
